Lafayette Psychology Center
About
I believe in working with clients to identify problem situations currently impacting their lives. Together, we will develop goals and work toward achieving those goals with open and honest communication. I focus on clients with a variety of mental, emotional, and behavioral struggles. My work experience also involves counseling individuals with multiple diagnoses. My approach to counseling is born from a cognitive-behavioral perspective. This simply means that I work with clients to identify patterns of thoughts and actions in order to understand presenting problems fully and develop solutions. I conduct psychotherapy (talk therapy) in individual, couples, family, and group settings. I work with clients of all backgrounds beginning at age 10 through adulthood. For clients under age 10, exceptions can be made on a case by case basis and with additional stipulations which will be discussed at time of scheduling.

My passion is to work with clients to discover new approaches to life's demands. Working with clients to establish new perspectives and tools to make life more enjoyable and easier to navigate is both fulfilling and inspiring to me.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
When working with a new client, I like to understand the client's background and perception of the events in his/her life. It is through this understanding that I obtain a true picture of the client's goals for treatment.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I obtained my Bachelor’s degree from Kaplan University in Criminal Justice where I focused my coursework on forensic psychology. My Master’s of Science degree was obtained from Walden University in Clinical Mental Health Counseling.
