Tess is a good listener and has great advice to cope with any situation. I would highly recommend her to my family and friends. She helped me cope with years of infertility and adoption.

Ive been working with Tess Pinkerton Counseling since the very beginning of her practice and I can honestly say that she has had such a powerful impact regarding various areas of my life. There is something so calming and peaceful about Tess that puts you at ease as soon as you meet her. I feel that she is authentic and genuinely cares about her clients. It is very evident that she is gifted in her profession as she is able to determine the heart of the matter and counsel accordingly. She is personable yet professional and gives her clients 100% of her attention. Her areas of expertise are diverse and I love that she can counsel from a personal and professional unbiased perspective while valuing each and every client in their unique background and story while holding confidentiality seriously and treating her clients with the utmost respect. In addition to these things, she is a great communicator and is flexible in her availability when it comes to scheduling sessions which is an added bonus. Tess Pinkerton Counseling is held high in my standards and is highly recommended.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I spend the first session getting to know a new client; I want to hear his/her story! At the end of the first session, we evaluate if I'm a good fit for them. If I am, then during the second meeting we start with setting goals for counseling. It's important that the client feels heard and helped.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Master degree in counseling with a focus on Marriage and Family issues.
