About this pro

We are a charity organization who's tagline is: "Change the world by changing lives, starting with your own!"

Mission Statement:

Feel Seen, Be Heard, KNOW that YOU Matter!

Mental health challenges, grief/loss, relationship/communication, business/career goals.

I help people and organizations make a bigger impact in each other people's lives or in the world, by recognizing the value they bring to the table. Whether with your money, your time, your services or your experience, are you making the impact you want to make? Are you getting the reactions/responses that you want? Are you living a life you love?

I get to not only watch people grow, but I'm a part of their story. My favorite part is watching people try what they never thought they'd try, let alone succeed.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

Find out expectations. What do they expect from our work together? What do they hope to achieve? How do they think I can best support them?

Before anything else, set the goal in mind and paint of picture of what success looks like. Only then can we figure out what obstacles and challenges are keeping us from achieving success.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I fell into a position as a mental health professional about 5 years ago. Since then, I have heard from supervisors, clients and colleagues alike that this (line of work) must be my calling.

In my work, I share my own experiences of my own challenges that I've overcome, not to make the session about me, but to show the lessons learned from each experience. I teach people how to "translate" the events in their life into pushes forward, rather than holding you back. I'd rather share from the heart rather than what I learned from a textbook.

I have since founded a non-profit to offer emotional support to anyone who is willing to do what it takes to change something in their life.

Changing the world by changing lives, starting with your own!

Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.

No inspired client will be turned away. In a perfect world, we have enough clients who pay to support the clients who can't afford to pay for our services.

Please donate as much as you can afford to invest in yourself and your recovery. Help us remind people that people still care. Help us support the people who think the world has all but deserted them.

How did you get started in this business?

Always having been the one people go to for support, too many times I've seen people denied services or support for lack of financial resources.

I wanted to help the people who couldn't afford the help they really needed (the emotional support).

There are so many organizations and people who want to help others but don't know how they can. I provide an avenue for people to make a difference in people's lives. How will we sustain the message that the world has not given up hope on you? Who will pay to keep our doors open? The people and organizations that want to help.

The reason we got the 501(c)(3) designation is to offer incentive for people to help others. If for no other reason, do it for the tax break.

What types of customers have you worked with?

From business professionals to people who feel down and out on their luck in life.

Working mostly with mental health challenges, whether bioligical or situational, from grief or loss to bipolar depression and anxiety.

Our focus is on understanding non-verbal communication, the way others hear what you're saying and the way you hear what others say to you. Couples learn how to effectively express their needs to each other. Shy or timid people gain confidence to speak up for themselves. Employers learn how to be a compassionate but effective leader.

Describe a recent event you are fond of.

I have a couple of clients who were homeless and without opportunity. They are now working full time, not yet in their dream jobs, but jobs they enjoy rather than dread going to work. They are still reaching for their dream jobs, but they both realize the value that freedom brings and are mindful of how to stay out of trouble when faced with a challenge.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?

Listen to your gut feelings. Trust is something that must be earned but is the most valuable of all wages.

Most often used piece of advice that comes up these days: We treat others the way we feel about ourselves. Conversely, others treat us the way they feel about themselves. When others mistreat us, it usually has nothing to do with us. Offer compassion instead of resistance. Watch events turn around right before your very eyes.

What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?

What are your expectations? Are you willing to do what it takes to achieve a healthy mindset?

If you're looking for someone to tell you that you're always right, please find someone else. If you're looking for someone to ask the right questions, offer an objective perspecitve on your situation and guidance on how to achieve your goals, I'm definitely the person you want to work with.

Whether with my support or not, I wish you the health and happiness we all deserve.
