About

Achieve Orthopedic Rehabilitation Institute (AORI) is a specialized out-patient physical therapy practice focusing on clients with orthopedic and neuromuscular problems. We especially take pride in working with those patients with persistent pain and chronicity who haven’t gotten better yet.

Manual Therapy & Exercise are the clinical tools we use. AORI clinicians add a scientific based Pain Science/Neurobiology clinical reasoning viewpoint to all our patient’s movement problems. A Bio-psychosocial perspective compliments this process, often providing the basis for consistent patient improvement in function, and return to family, work, athletics and satisfaction.

Dr. Ashraf Abdelhamid is a clinician, educator, speaker, CEO and Founder of Achieve Orthopedic Rehabilitation Institute (AORI), a Chicago manual therapy out-patient centers. Ashraf does believe that people need to be active players in their road of recovery. Dr. Ashraf is inspiring his clients to take a proactive role in their recovery and to control their own destiny. Validated Pain Management is ongoing customized pain management and enhanced shared decision making, based on individualized information about a patient’s pain and quality of life.

His interest is integrating several manual approaches into a comprehensive framework to mange acute and chronic orthopedic clients. Ashraf has integrated his manual therapy skills with the biopsychosocial model, which entails thoughts, emotions, behaviors, and social factors, all play a significant role in human functioning in the context of disease or illness. Dr. Ashraf believes that pain and its impact are validated and acknowledged, and information about pain mechanisms is individualized according to what the patient experiences.

Dr. Abdelhamid received his Bachelor of physical Therapy from Cairo University 1986. He earned his Master degree of Health science of Physical Therapy in 1997 from Rosalind Franklin University. He completed his Doctoral degree also from Rosalind Franklin University in 2013. He completed his Ph.D. degree from NOVA Southeastern University Florida in 2015. Ashraf is American Board certified Orhtopedic clinical specialist since 1999. He completed a full certification dry needling program for trigger point management. Ashraf is serving as faculty member in Achieve`s Manual Therapy Orthopedic residency. He is also instructor at Neuro Orthopedic Institute (NOI). He is the business manger of NOIUS.

Early in his career, Ashraf trained with several international experts who influenced his comprehensive manual therapy and pain management to Neuromusculoskeletal problems. Ashraf is representing 33 years of clinical practice. He continues to stay alongside of innovative physical therapy developments through Continuing Education courses and by attending national and international conferences. Dr. Abdelhamid consistently shares those experiences and approaches with his clients everyday.
