Jill Maling, LCSW
About
I have been in private practice as a therapist for 30+ years. I am easy to talk to, and am quite interactive with my clients. I am adept at helping my clients get to the root of their issues, and most tell me they begin to feel better and more hopeful after just a few sessions.
I love my work! It is truly an honor to accompany my clients through this very personal process. It is gratifying to help them heal, and get to a point where their symptoms are no longer hindering their growth.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
People who decide to come into therapy are generally hurting in some way, so I proceed very gently. I mostly listen at first. It takes courage to decide to work with a therapist, so my clients deserve to have my undivided attention. Over time, trust develops, and a relationship can form on which my clients can depend. It is my mission to help my clients make the necessary connections between their present problems and the past, so that they can heal, grow and develop the lives they want to be living.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I received my Bachelors degree in Psychology from the University of Michigan, and my Masters in Social Work from the University of Illinois at Chicago.
