WeListen2U is a professional listening service -- it's for people who need an excellent listener, a sounding board, a non-judgmental environment to air their thoughts, worries, fears, or dreams. People who have personal concerns or workplace issues can find a safe, confidental "space" to talk out what's on their mind. It was designed for people to talk about their thoughts or "clear their heads".
This listening service is for people who might seek the help of a counselor, but don't need a Ph.D. or licensed professional (and don't want to pay high hourly rates).
WeListen2U offers professional listening services over the phone, via Skype, or in person (near Chicago). Listening sessions can last 30 minutes or 50 minutes and sometimes available at short notice.
Also available is "Active Therapy", which combines professional listening with light exercise -- indoor or outdoor walking or similar. (Currently, "Active Therapy" is available only in the Chicago metro area.)
WeListen2U offers professional and active listening that can give people the emotional relief or stress break they need.
People need to be heard. When you need to talk, there is no substitution for a good listener. Our professional listening services can offer hope to people feeling burdened or misunderstood.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Our clients' needs are our top priority. We start with simple questions, such as, "What do you need?" and "What is your goal?" or "How can I help you best?"
The answers will direct a path of listening and then we will "travel" together down that path.
This service is ALWAYS client-oriented.

How did you get started in this business?
My love for helping people, through empathetic listening and emotional support has never wavered or diminished. However, the graduate education system seemed to attract people who needed therapy themselves, not people who would be equipped to provide therapy.
This business is a service. The mission of this service is to provide a safe, non-judgmental environment for people to express themselves and relief their minds of the thoughts, feelings, and words that need to come out.
What types of customers have you worked with?
Clients range from spouses in couples counseling, roommates with domestic complaints, employees with work issues, siblings or adult children who need to vent about a family member.
Clients are widows and widowers who need to talk about their loss (even 30 years after a spouse's death); husbands and wives would want an objective listener; adults who have issues with coworkers; parents who need to vent about their children or household; anyone struglling to make a big decision; people who need a "sounding board" for their ideas; and absolutely anyone who needs a supportive, empathetic "ear" but cannot get it from family or friends.
