Growing Hope Counseling
About
I am passionate about seeing people find healing and wholeness. There are times that we can feel stuck, unsure of ourselves, or trapped in a struggle. It’s in those times that we need someone to walk with us. I’m convinced that people are the expert of themselves, but that sometimes we have difficulty seeing that and need a compassionate and patient person to remind them of that, offer them a different perspective, and help them discover new tools for effecting lasting change. I use a variety of client-focused approaches to help each person meet their individual goals.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I use a variety of client-focused approaches to help each person meet their individual goals. Regardless of the counseling technique used, the most important & helpful element in counseling is the counselor-client relationship. This relationship is fundamental in creating effective change in a client’s thinking & beliefs, which in turn, affects their behavior.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a M.Ed. in School Counseling, with a focus in Mental Health Counseling from Liberty University. He is currently pursuing a doctoral degree in Community Care and Counseling. I am a licensed professional counselor and a National Certifoed Counselor.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
We chose to not use insurance because it can create limitations to effective & specialized care by determining duration and type of MH care.

How did you get started in this business?
I completed my Master of Arts in Christian Ministry and was offering pastoral counseling to men and couples while on staff at a church. I eventually realized that I needed to expand my "tool kit" and knowledge if I wanted to help people in a more holistic way.
What types of customers have you worked with?
I've worked with men and women in an individual setting and/or as couples.
