I admire the courage and resiliency it takes for clients to get involved in the therapy process. It is an extremely rewarding and fulfilling career to see how clients find their own path back to wholeness and life success. I have loved being a witness to my clients' transformative process. I truly enjoy learning everything I can about how to best facilitate and support this process for each individual client.

The first few times meeting/talking we will spend time getting to know each other and evaluating trauma symptoms to determine together what the treatment plan and goals will be. Client/therapist work together to determine if trauma treatment is necessary and creatively as a team to meet goals with objectives decided upon by client.
Trained as an art therapist and in evidence based trauma therapies and treatment of complex trauma.
120$ fee is standard for an hour. I also offer sliding scale for those that may have financial hardship.
It's a long story:). But art has always been a resource for me and I wanted to share that with others, as a way to use it to stay connected to the world and myself during stressful times, as a form of therapy. I also believe in the therapeutic process as a form of a creative process itself, as we continually have to find re-make ourselves, getting rid of old patterns, and finding new resources that work to adapt to life.
I've worked with clients that are very sensitive, creative, resilient, had experiences in life where they were marginalized, either because they just werebecause they had to choose to go their own way.
To make sure and ask as many questions you want to make sure this person is a good match for you.
Ask what their treatment philosophy is, if it is client-centered and what that means to them. Or whatever their treatment view is, ask what it means to them.
