Donna Paloy, LCSW
About
I have over twenty years of experience working with children and families. Most of my work has been with very high risk clients with dual diagnoses. I began my career over twenty years ago, and have worked with clients dealing with diagnoses including postpartum depression, PTSD, anxiety, depression, ADHD, ODD, BiPolar disorder, complicated bereavement, abuse and neglect, domestic violence, and my most recent work was as a supervisor overseeing other counselors. I help individuals understand how to work through life's stressors and painful events when they happen, as well as better understand themselves to be able to reach their highest potential. I work with children, adults and families. I am trained in Infant Mental Health and Child Parent Psychotherapy, which allows me to work with infants and very young children having issues with bonding and attachment. I am also trained in cognitive behavioral therapy and behavior management techniques. In addition I am able to integrate alternative modalities such as meditation and energetic healing work.

How did you get started in this business?
I knew I wanted to help people from a very early age. I started volunteering at a local women's shelter at age 18, and during college. After college I began my work in a domestic violence shelter, then moved on to working with at risk pregnant women and infants. After I received my license I worked with high risk children and families, then became supervisor of a counseling program.

Infants, children, families and adults. I've worked with a variety of mental health issues and high risk clients.
