About
I am passionate about working with men (also marriage counseling) and teenage boys because as many head into life without the proper tools for becoming a man and commonly misunderstand masculinity. I have worked with adolescents for over ten years in a wide range of capacities: counseling at a wilderness camp for court referred boys, family counseling and also being a youth minister. I have also been privileged to work with women that have experienced abuse verbally, emotionally, physically and sexually. I have led process groups for several women's conferences.
I believe that true change comes from the heart and isn't just a series of self-help mechanisms. My approach is from a Christian perspective of guidance towards the cross and awaking people's hearts.
I also lead father/son outdoor adventure weekend to find out more go to:

I enjoy the sacredness of being trusted with stories and memories and guiding clients towards healing where they have been stuck in the past.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Please give me a call and we can talk to see if we both feel like it is a good fit and I can set up an appointment with you at that time. My website has the intake paperwork, fees and directions to the office.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a masters degree in counseling from Reformed Theological Seminary. I lead Father/Son adventure weekend teaching on masculinity and blessing ceremonies.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
My rate is $120 and have a sliding scale for those that are struggling financially.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
To make sure they have been dealing with their own issues in counseling and don't pay $120 if they are not a licensed counselor. Ask what is their theory of change.
