I am Lisa I. Guerra LMHC, sole proprietor of Blossom and Thrive Counseling and Coaching Inc. I have been a licensed therapist in the state of Florida since 2003. I've spent my career mainly working with youths, families, and women. I specialize in facilitating recovery from emotional abuse and toxic relationships and helping clients challenge inaccurate self-beliefs that typically result from this type of distress that often lead to negative life impacts. I am skilled at: helping people regain emotional control by reprogramming their "inner compass" to better manage their boundaries, assisting clients in facing parenting challenges, and offering valuable instruction about coping and assertive communication skills. I received my undergraduate degree at the University of Florida and my Masters at Webster University. I am an EMDR trained therapist. I feel I was born for this profession. I personally love helping people achieve inner-strength by helping them overcome their challenges through skill development that will support lifelong benefits. I admit I have an intense but nurturing personality and I approach therapy as if I am working myself out of your need for me from the time we first meet. I love nature and the sense of spirituality and inspiration it brings and I incorporate this into my practice. The office setting is nature inspired and peaceful.
