About this pro

In 2017 Robert Poliszuk graduated from the University of Miami with a doctorate in physical therapy. In his time at the top ten graduate program, Dr. Rob conducted research related to pulmonary and musculoskeletal function in division one female soccer players, worked with the Univeristy of Miami football team in athletic testing and assessment procedures meant to determine injury risk and developed injury prevention and fitness programs for faculty at the University itself.

Once graduated, Dr. Rob went on to work in a strength and conditioning facility in Doral where he led NFL and Division one collegiate football players through warmups as well as active mobility and injury reduction drills prior to their training sesssions.

It was throughout this time Dr. Rob was also working at a crowded PT clinic in West Miami. It meant treating 3 patients an hour and providing suboptimal care to the people who needed it most, those in pain who were looking to avoid surgery.

After months of this poor experience, the desire to provide the same level of treatment that he did with the athletes at the strength and conditioning facility grew larger. All patients deserved individualized and dedicated attention.

This is when Dr. Rob decided to create his own business: PhsyioLogix Sports Physical Therapy. The focus of this clinic was to provide 1-on-1 care to individuals so that they could recover faster, avoid surgeries or pills and get back to doing the hobbies and activities they love, pain-free.

PhysioLogix was essentially created as a direct response to overpacked and poor quality PT clinics that are far too prominent in the Miami region. House visits, rehabilitation inside the massive downtown facility of Elev8tion Fitness as well as Telehealth leaves patients with many options to accommodate anyone’s lifestyle.

He was extremely professional and knew exactly what I needed to take care of my shoulder/neck issue. The exercises were easily incorporated into my daily routine and the hands on muscular bodywork was excellent! My trips to the chiropractor have been diminished! Would definitely recommend him!

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

I alwyas begin with a complimentary phone consultation to learn about the potential client's condition, their concerns and their desired goals. This allows me to get a greater feel for the patient.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

SUNY Cortland BS in Exercise Science (2013)

Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (2013)

University of Miami Doctor of Physical Therapy Program (2017)

Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.

My company can bill your insurance for you, so the prices can vary. It is best to conduct a free phone consultation and benefits check!

How did you get started in this business?

I got started in 2014 when I had been personally training clients inside of a University health system in Rochester, NY. After that, I knew that I always wanted to learn and do more with my career but just having a degree in exercise science was not enough.

This is when I decided to go to PT school and become a doctor of physical therapy so I could help anyone that had an ache or pain that was keeping them from doing the things they loved! In my time there I had the opportunity to work with the D1 football and soccer programs, learning how to test and train athletes competing at the highest collegiate levels.

From there, I took a job at a crowded clinic that was miserable. Treating three patients an hour, meant no time to give the individual attention that they deserved. This is when I decided to create my clinic which focused on the most important concept in healing: 1-on-1 treatment.

What types of customers have you worked with?

Anyone from NFL players to Medicare recipients and everyone in between. Having access to a 15k square foot facility and the ability to do home visits allows for maximal patient accomodations!

Whether you feel that you just need your back cracked (yes, I can do that) or you are recvoering from a knee replacement, I can heal you from the comfort of your own home or the high level training facility we call home downtown!

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?

Always make sure that you get to know the pro first. Talk to them on the phone and make sure that your goals and wishes for rehab align. Many times you will learn who is there to actually there to help you and who may not be a good fit!
