About
My goal in working with clients is to make sure that they feel heard, respected and not judged. I want people to come away from a session feeling lighter, and to come to a place where they feel peaceful and happier in their life.
I love seeing clients accomplish their goals, and seeing the changes they are making in their thinking, their relationships and their lives.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
The first session is often focused on a little bit of paperwork, and then spending the time getting to know each other. The client will share their story and the reason for reaching out for help, and we will talk about ways we can work together.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I graduated with my Bachelors degree in Social work in 1999 from Western New England College in Springfield, MA and my Masters Degree in Social Work from Springfield College, also in Springfield, MA. I have worked in many different fields including a psychiatric hospital, a day program, an emergency room, a mental health community agency and in home care. I have also helped many people in my private practice over the years, and have been able to learn a lot from all of them.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
I accept many different insurances including Medicare, Cigna, Aetna, Tricare, UHC, UBH and Optum. I also offer a sliding fee scale, self pay and out of network benefits.
What types of customers have you worked with?
I have worked with adults, adolescents, couples and families over the years. Many of my clients struggle with relationship issues, depression and anxiety, alcohol and drug abuse as well as self esteem and confidence issues.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
In counseling, the comfort level you feel with the counselor is very important; it is a large part of the therapeutic work that is done. I often suggest people try 3 sessions to see if it is a good fit.
