About this pro

You are meant to have inner joy and peace. Life makes this hard, therapy can make it easier. It is vital to find a therapist who is a good fit for you and provides a good connection so that you will feel safe in expressing your innermost thoughts and feelings. Our collaboration can assist you in having a more satisfying life and relationships. This open, honest therapeutic relationship sets the foundation for true healing so that life can be easier. I can teach you the interrelationship between thoughts and feelings and how they affect our behaviors so that you will have strategies and tools to take with you.
I enjoy helping others recognize their potential to create the life they desire. We focus on your strengths, interests and also identifying negative feelings that block your path to inner joy and peace. I counsel teens and adults and am "marriage friendly". I use CBT, mindfulness techniques, EMDR, Sand Play Therapy for us "Big Kids too."
It is fulfilling to be a witness to my clients enjoying better relationships, attain optimal functioning as well as their dreams and goals and to have peace of mind. It can be difficult to make that first call though it can be a life changing choice. Emails and phone messages are returned within 24 hours. I have hours on the weekend and evenings.

I love being a therapist. Part of the job is to help people identify why they do the things they do, and watching their lives unfold once they figure that out, is truly beautiful. The other passion I have to therapy is simply to become part of your support system. It's an honor and I truly respect my clients and hear updates long after our time together is completed.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

Trust, confidence and loyalty are important in working with a therapist. I provide cients with a brief phone call prior to setting an appointment to allow us to talk over the issues that you want to change and hear how I would approach it. I provide tele-health coaching all over the USA and work privately out of my Stuart Florida office. I am friendly, genuine and compassionate with a tough personna and always solution focused, with perhaps a little humor to brigthen your day.

How did you get started in this business?

In 2009 I decided to leave the publishing business and begin transforming lives on a personal level, in stead of publishing materials on the subject. Perhaps my own issues with grief, loss, divorce, abuse, domestic violence, single parenting, and remarraige, PTSD, depression and anxiety played a part! If I can overcome all that, you can to.

What types of customers have you worked with?

My clients range from teens struggling with depression and identity to divorced women and elderly facing health issues. I work with first responders and individuals with trauma/PTSD.

Describe a recent event you are fond of.

Neil was an angry middle aged man who worked through childhood issues that helped repair family issues and self work ranging from perfectionism, addiction and depression. He found time to work on his passions and face the issues from his younger years that caused him to make decisions he regretted. Today he has repaired a relationship with his kids and is working on strengthening his marriage.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?

Get to know your therapist, you are investing in your mental health and your future. Find someone who makes you feel secure and connected, even if they are out of network!

What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?

Ask us how we are qualified to handle your situation, and if we understand your situation. Culture and age have a lot to do with it.
