About

I am a second generation psychotherapist, based in Jupiter, Florida. I founded my private practice in 2012.

In today’s world, many of us are cut off and alienated from our true, authentic self – a healthy, balanced ego state. Our bodies produce symptoms in an effort to alert us that we are out of balance. Sadly, we often ignore these red flags or, we attempt to medicate the symptoms without working to understand the root cause of the physiological manifestation.

Many individuals come in describing a loss of passion in their lives, an inability to be spontaneous, anxiety, depression, numbness, insomnia, struggles with addiction – and many more unbalanced states.

In every human individual there exists an instinctual desire to be whole. A pressing urge to make right that which sits uncomfortably in the psyche. A desire to live a life unburdened by excessive guilt and shame coupled with the freedom to enjoy a fuller and less restrictive emotional experience.

It is here, on this footing, that I have the privilege to meet you – with warmth, respect and confidentiality. A partner in your quest to reestablish the wholeness that you were born with.

Treatment is entirely customized to the patient in front of me. I draw from a wide array of modalities, and do not believe in a "one size fits all" approach. I am certified in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and often incorporate this modality into my work. To read my complete professional profile, please view my website at:

I work with teens, adults, couples and families. Specialty areas include: trauma and PTSD, codependency, relational discord and Borderline Personality Disorder.

I am happy to set up an initial phone consultation to explore the possibility of working together. I am out of network with insurance companies. I do offer a sliding scale.

I look forward to hearing from you.

It is a privilege to walk alongside my patients, to be a witness to their bravery and courage in going to a place that has been historically avoided. This is incredibly humbling for me and I hold this journey in the highest regard.

It is also incredibly rewarding to be a part of the healing process within families, relationships with others and the relationship with self. To see people experimenting with healthier behaviors and thus, being responded to in healthier ways, motivates me greatly.

Frequently asked questions

I initially set up a phone call to learn more about the patient's presenting challenges, their expectations for therapy and their budget. If a good fit is established, we will set up a day and time for the first session.

Continuous evolution through learning is important to me. I have attained certification in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and incorporate this therapy work where appropriate. I have attained post Master’s certification in Clinical Psychopharmacology through UC Berkeley.

I have received training in Experiential Engagement Therapy, a powerful modality (founded by JF Benoist) that empowers individuals to become aware of their defensive and restrictive inner programming.

Additionally, I am a therapy provider at an Eating Disorder Intensive Outpatient Program in West Palm Beach.

I am a certified Prepare/Enrich Couples Counselor.

Sessions are typically $150, per 50 minutes.

I do offer a sliding scale. Please reach out regardless of budget.

I am an admitted attorney and practiced family law for quite a few years. I have always had a passion for psychology and the human experience. In my late twenties I decided to follow this passion and I have not looked back!

I have worked with a very wide array of people and personalities. I embrace multiculturalism as well as any and all lifestyle and partner choices. Being a native South African, I am well versed in celebrating different cultures, relgions and creeds.

I believe that a positive outcome in therapy is directly linked to the patient-therapist alliance. Feeling emotionally safe, respected and judgment free is essential, from the very first interaction!

It is important to feel relaxed, and to write down essential questions you would like addressed. This varies from person to person. I often find that I am able to ask a few questions and this often helps a prospective patient to relax and open up. Again, I believe you can often "feel" if the match is the right one for you.
