About
My passion is helping others find peace and contentment in their personal lives. My office is open and relaxing, not too clinical, providing a comfortable environment. These are difficut times and I think that I'm approachable and kind for clients of all ages. I incorporate deep breathing exercises, some hands on exercises, meditation and light yoga with traditional "talk therapy" as needed or desired by clients.
I love meeting with and helping people. As an individual practitioner, I have the ability to be flexible in how we work together and when. I like the flexibility I can offer clients (and myself).
I also love my office and call it my happy place to be.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
When I meet a new client, we generally chat briefly by phone before setting an appointment. If timing allows, I will e-mail general forms to fill out before we meet in person but we can go through that information at our first meeting too.
I am seeing clients in person still in my private office in Fairfield. I am also working with clients remotely using a HIPPA compliant program (like Zoom).
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I studied school and community counseling at Fairfield University, graduating in 2005, first pursuing a career as a school counselor. I opened my practice in 2018.
I am a trained, registered Kripalu yoga instructor a certified meditation trainer as well.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
I am an in-network provider for:
Aetna
Anthem Blue Cross/Blue Shield
Cigna
Husky
United Healthcare/Oxford
If you do not have insurance with these companies, I would be an out of network provider. My hourly fee is $150 and I will provide statements to submit to your insurance company. My fee has always been considered "Usual and customary".
How did you get started in this business?
I worked in the business world for nearly 20 years before 9/11/2001. I come from a family of helpers (father was a dentist, mother a teacher), so after this pivotal incident, I decided it was time to return to school for my master's degree in Counseling. I enjoyed working in schools, but I am passionate about working "more clinically" with clients and my practice affords that possibility.
What types of customers have you worked with?
I have worked with children, adolescents and adults from all backgrounds struggling with a range of concerns from a situational concern to anxiety, depression, managing life with a long term medical problem, academic troubles, grief and trauma.
I also do couples therapy.
