About
I believe in people and possibilities! I believe that we all have our best answers within, and I enjoy helping you unpack obstacles, challenges, and limiting beliefs that get in the way of being your best self.
I am passionate about grief, and bereavement, and end-of-life work. Grief encompasses loss in all areas of life, including death. Whereas bereavement is grief specific to death.
Grief is a deeply personal journey that lays right in your heart. It is about loss...a break-up, death of a loved one, loss of a pet, end of a friendship, job loss or the end of a career, divorce, infertility, or the loss of a dream.
Some days it feels like you are drowning in a tidal wave of sadness, and in other moments it feels as if pockets of grief sneak envelope you because of a song, smell, or memory. You grieve as deeply as you love, and your grief demands to be felt!

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
When I am contacted by a potential new client, I typically invite them for a free 15-30 minute conversation so that we can see how I can best serve them...and, to see if we feel we are a good match. If we decide to move forward with counseling, we discuss the next steps which might include payment via insurance or as self-pay, the intake process, and scheduling an appointment.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
My bachelor's degree is in industrial/organizational psychology and anthropology. My master's degree is in secondary/postsecondary school counseling, and I completed the 2000 counseling hours required for the Licensed Professional Counselor designation.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Find a counselor who will support YOU! This is about you and what you need. It is okay to find the right fit for you.
