2. We promise you won’t have to drive to your counselor’s office when you’d rather be sitting in the comfort and privacy of your own home or office. We’ve been doing telehealth since long before it was popular, and now you can too!
3. We promise you won’t have to struggle on your own to complete insurance reimbursement forms when we can make it easier on you.
4. We promise you won’t have to wonder whether your counselor has the right training or experience to deal with the challenges you bring to the table. Our counselors have extensive training and experience, and we’ll work with you to find that right match for exactly what you need.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We work with people using a simple 3 step process:
1. You call, email, or book time online to talk with our front-office team to get matched with the best counselor for your unique needs
2. Once we answer all your questions about scheduling, insurance billing, rates/fees, etc -- we'll get you some brief forms to fill out before your first visit with your counselor
3. You'll meet via Zoom (or in-person, by request) usually within about 1-2 weeks of your initial request. Your counselor will guide you through some specific questions to get up to speed, and you'll also have free time to talk about whatever is on your mind.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
All of our counselors have a master's degree in counseling or a related field, and receive ongoing training related to best practices, new research, and more. They are required to complete 36 hours of training every two years to maintain their license.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
Our standard rates are:
Initial evaluation: $180
60 minute follow-up session: $150
45 minute session: $120
We are in-network with several major insurances, and will work closely with you to make sure your health insurance company covers as much of this cost as possible.
We also have a sliding scale, and can provide additional information upon request.

Rock Life Counseling was founded to create options for hard-working middle class Americans to access high-quality mental health services at an affordable cost. We leverage cutting-edge technology and research to get you the best results.
What types of customers have you worked with?
We primarily work with adults, age 18-65. Please contact us to inquire about services for older adults on a case-by-case basis.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Not everyone who claims to have expertise in a certain area actually has it. Look closely for licenses and certifications. Also be wary of solo practitioners. While some have great support systems, others struggle to keep up with the latest research. Those who don't have other team members to collaborate with them may not be able to generate outside-the-box thinking to help you get unstuck. At Rock Life Counseling, we believe that two heads are better than one -- and 5 heads are even better than that!
