What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
After we find a date/time to meet, I text them my address and directions to get there. I send a reminder text the day before our appt.
During the first session, I ask for my clients story. Then I find out what they want & want to work on.
Then we reflect on if they feel comfortable with me & want to meet again. We end on a positive note.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a BA degree in Anthropology & a Masters degree in Social Work -- both from CSU, Fresno. I studied drug & alcohol counseling at Fresno City College & now teach in that department. I was licensed as a clinical social worker in 1994. I am trained in DBT, Anger Management, Nurturing Parent & Love and Logic Parenting models.and currently work as a Clinical Supervisor, training interns, at two agencies in town.
