A moving experience that has completely changed my familys life, as well as my own, for the better. I show up, and I do the work for me. And because Ive given myself fully to the work, Ive lost the very things Id been plagued and gained the one thing I thought Id lost. Do the work, commit to the process; find the present again. Find your breath again. 10/10 would reccoment

The Awakened Method has helped me reflect on traumatic childhood experiences and understand how they are still affecting me today, such as how I handle stressful situations. This method has provided tools I can use when dealing with anxiety and thus change my typical reactions. Im able to self-regulate and respond to others in more caring ways, especially in situations where previously I may have been impatient or angry. Im also feeling a positive shift in my relationship with my daughter as Im more mindful of being fully present with her when she needs my attention as opposed to being elsewhere in thought. With the Awakened Method, Im essentially learning that its okay to slow down, take a breath, reflect and be present in the moment so that Im better equipped in responding to others, making thoughtful decisions and feeling more connected to people I care about most.

Healing from my birth and developmental traumas has been one of the most nurturing and supportive awakenings. This understanding assisted in healing and deeping the relationship with my children and knowing they were also having an experience of life from the womb.  Healing the dysregulated emotional, physical, spiritual, and mental self allowed for deeper relationships with self, family, and those around me.

I hold support for family dynamics, individuals, couples, children,  teens, preconception preparation, pregnancy/birth, and parenting.

Working with a family that has a child who's body-system went from being very fragmented and dysregulated to coming into wholeness. Watching the mother see her son again for the first time in a couple of years, has been an affirmation of what can happen when clients feel safe.

Safety is the key to healing. When exploring the path to finding a supportive therapist, it needs to come from a place of body & mind connection. Example: Do I feel safe (body) by sharing my storyline? Do they have the experiences (mind & body) and background that can guide my healing path? Also, do you speak in feeling words; do you know your learning style? These are all important questions when seeking support. Look at many different modalities, like somatic therapy, and see the benefits.

Understanding the different types of therapy and how it guides healing.

Somatic Therapy-is a form of body-centered therapy that looks at the connection of mind and body and uses both psychotherapy and physical therapies for holistic healing. In addition to talk therapy, somatic therapy practitioners use mind-body exercises and other physical techniques to help release the pent-up tension that negatively affects a patient’s physical and emotional wellbeing.

Psychodynamic Therapy-In psychoanalysis, you can expect to talk about anything on your mind to uncover patterns in thoughts or behavior that might be contributing to distress. It’s also common to talk about your childhood and past, along with recurring dreams or fantasies you might have.

Behavioral Therapy-certain behaviors develop from things you learned in your past. Some of these behaviors might affect your life negatively or cause distress.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy is a short-term approach to mental health treatment. It’s similar to behavioral therapy, but it also addresses unhelpful thought patterns or problematic thoughts.
