About
I am an ordained secular Minister and Spiritual Counselor with many years of experieince helping individuals, couples, children and families to communicare better, to restore trust, to function as a healthy and loving unit and to become their best. I also have extensive experience as a former licensed clinical social worker who treated the military, law enforcement and USBP as well. I provide life path and spiritual counseling and guidance to those who seek an integrative holistic and spiritual approach to healing, personal growth and learning. There is no "one size fits all" approach to healing, gaining insight, or changing one's life path. I do not diagnose nor bill any insurance company for services as I no longer participate in that worldview of pathologising, diagnosing and over medicating people who are suffering. I help you to focus on your strengths, not your weaknesses to heal, change and grow and gain insight about your spiritual path. As an ordained secular minister I perform secular Weddings, premaritial and marital counseling. I do not "preach"; I teach you ways to become the best you were always meant to be and help you gain tools to cope better with life challenges.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We will discuss via phone what you are struggling with, what you have tried to do to help yourself, what didn't work, and if you are ready to make changes in your life. We will then schedule an inital appointment.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Master's Degree, have been licensed in 3 states, and Board Certified Diplomate with many years of mental health treatment experience treating adults, children, families and couples, both military and civilian. Am a holistic minister and practitioner and provide Life Path, Spiritual and Personal Growth counseling for individuals and couples, workshops, teachings, and community acupressure-stress detox programs. I am also a Certified Acupuncture Detoxification Specialist, and prefer to use acupressure beads for de-stressing clients in my practice. I teach you tools to use in your everyday life to cope with your challenges so you can feel in control in a healthy way. I am also extensively trained in Sandtray Worlplay, which is a powerful non verbal technique and process of healing. It is also important ot understand your spiritual/religoius connection.

How did you get started in this business?
Many years of training and expertise as a licensed and board certified psychotherapist. I have been fortunate to have had practices in 2 states and left Luke AFB Mental Health Clinic 2 years ago. I decided to change direction and focus my practice more holistically, creatively, and spritually outside of the "medical model." I have always loved this work and have been successful in helping people to heal. It is always an honor to be a part of someone's healing journey.
What types of customers have you worked with?
Adults, children, families and couples, active duty military, veterans, USBP and civilians.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
There is no one event. I have had so many clients give positive feedback over the years about my creative approaches which have helped them to heal and resolve problems from different types of personal issues, including those who served in combat areas.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Make sure the practitioner uses a variety of techniques to help you, more than from a "cognitive behavioral" pespective, more than EMDR and DBT. Also ask the counselor about his/her training and experience. Is the counselor a holistic practitioner or bound to the "medical model" of diagnosing and pathology? The most important thing to remember is that success in counseling depends on the relationship between client and counselor, not so much all the letters after our names. Research has proven this over and over again. It has to be a "right fit" so to speak.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
Am I ready to make a commitment to my healing and personal growth? Am I willing to try new methods to help me to improve my life, and learn new skiils? Am I willing to follow through on recommendations? Am I ready to make changes? Do I deserve to make an investment into improving my life?
