Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I offer a complimentary 15 minute consultation before scheduling an intake. There are some documents that need to be completed before the first session, as well.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I hold a Masters in Clinical Mental Health through Northern Arizona University and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology emphasis School Guidance through Southwestern Adventist University. My course work included but was not limited to: Human Growth and Development, Marriage and Family, Group Therapy, Counseling Theories and Techniques, and Multicultural Diversity.
I have been in the mental health field since 2014; first as a case manager and then as a counselor. I have worked mostly with young people considered high risk because of traumatic pasts and minimal support systems. Some of training and experience includes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness, and Self-Compassion work. I also believe it is important to continue my educational experience and do so through continuous trainings.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
