This guy knows the law AND he is a creative thinker. That’s a rarely seen combination. August McCarthy is truly passionate about doing his very best for you. You would be very happy with him as your lawyer.

August is a brilliant attorney. More than that, he is really committed to working to the best of his ability for his clients. You combine those two things and you get the best possible outcomes, occasionally you get a small miracle. August is going to be straight with you and tell you what you need to hear, not just what you want to hear, he is not going to sell you expectations that are unrealistic so you hire him or say nice things about him. You wont always like what you hear but it will either be the truth or an honest appraisal. August will present things to you in a way that he thinks you as an individual will best absorb it. Sometimes thats blunt, but you want him as your lawyer not your therapist. August runs a small practice, he takes few clients and gets to know them well. The service is personal and he deals with every detail personally and I can tell you the quality shows. Finally, August is honest and reasonable in billing. Your not going to get gouged and billed a quarter hour for every text or email. He will bill you for honest hours of work and his rates are reasonable. Count yourself lucky if this man will take on your case.

He is very knowledgeable, and paid close attention to every part of my case. My first lawyer was not nearly as attentive.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

I offer a free consultation in all criminal cases.  In every case, I give a new client a realistic analysis of the strengths and weaknesses of her case, so that she can make intelligent decisions about how to proceed.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I have 14 years of experience protecting clients, and a law degree from a top tier law school.
