About
Not all divorce or custody matters are the same. Not all clients have the same needs or funds available for legal services. This is why I offer three different service levels for clients to choose - from full representation to unbundled document drafting, there is a solution that will allow you to have the personalized service of an experienced attorney at your price point.
Level 1: Full Scope Representation for Contested Case
· Access to CL portal with case file, calendar of case events, chat feature, self-scheduling for calls and appointments, direct access to your attorney
· Firm tracks all case deadlines, handles all correspondence with court and opposing counsel/party, scheduling of hearings and mediations; firm handles drafting and editing of all pleadings and court filings; firm downloads, saves, prints and organizes incoming information from client, opposing party/counsel, court; attorney develops and updates/reevaluates personalized case strategy
· Attorney representation at mediations and court hearings
· This option is offered in increments at flat fee rates.
Level 2: Full Scope Representation for Uncontested Case
· Firm handles preparation of all required pleadings for an uncontested divorce action
· Firm handles the filing and tracking of the divorce proceeding from start to finish
· Firm will correspond with opposing counsel/party to obtain necessary signatures
Level 2 Representation Does NOT Include:
· Court hearing or mediation representation
· Discovery or disclosure preparation
· Settlement negotiations
To qualify, case must be uncontested (i.e. both parties are in total agreement to each term that will be entered by the Court)
This option has both a full representation and DIY option
Level 3: Unbundled Self-Representation Assistance
Just pleadings. No filing. No advice. No representation.
· Firm handles preparation of all selected pleadings
· Client receives electronic copies of prepared documents
· Client receives easy to follow, step-by-step instructions on pleadings and self-representation for selected pleadings/process
Unbundled representation does NOT include:
· Representation as attorney-of-record in case, at mediation, or court proceedings
· Filing of Client documents with the Court (client will need to file documents with court and pay filing fees directly to Court)

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
·
I begin a new client relationship by conducting a complete intake/assessment of the potential client's situation. I provide an overview of the legal process they are facing, the options for representation that I offer, and in some cases, a detailed case strategy.
· Once an interested party becomes a client, s/he receives a personalized client portal with his/her case file, document uploader, calendar of case events, attorney chat feature, and self-scheduler for attorney appointments as well as my cell phone number. The client will also be set up in the Court filing system and have an electrocnic file.
· Next, I do a search for all involved persons in the Utah court database and review each person's relevant history. I review the current court docket, if there is an existing case and put together a starting strategy to either get the case going or get it back on track.
· Finally, the client receives a welcome packet with information about the firm (policies and procedures, a fee schedule, and tips and tricks for dealing with a divorce or custody case to optimize your position.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Please see my complete education and background at: www.fullcirclefamilylaw.com
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
Yes. Each level of service I provide is offered in flat fee packages. Full representation for contested cases is broken down incrementally by step.
Although it is hard to estimate the costs of a divorce without hearing the specific situation, full service divorce/custody cases that settle in mediation will typically cost around $5,000 and go up from there depending on whether litigation is needed.
Full representation for uncontested cases ranges between $1500-2000.
DIY uncontested cases range from $500-750
DIY contested packages vary by what pleadings are needed.
***All prices listed above are subject to change at any time without notice and are not a guarantee of final costs nor outcome of a case. A detailed consult is required before a case-specific estimate/quote can be provided to individuals.***
How did you get started in this business?
Through my own divorce. Read more on my website at: www.fullcirclefamilylaw.com
What types of customers have you worked with?
I've worked with all types of families. I often say that to me there is no such thing as "dad's law" or "mom's law." I carefully choose clients that I beleive have their children's best interests at heart regardless of their gender.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
After a certain amount of time in practice, family law practitioners all pretty much know the same laws and are familiar with the same commissioners and judges.
What becomes important is fit. You are determining the best outcomes for your most prized possessions - your children and your finances. You will need to be comfortable with your attorney and have a great deal of trust. Interview 3-5 family law attorneys if you have the time and emotional energy to do so. You will know what type of lawyer you'll want to work with when you meet her ;)
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
Think about what you want. No one gets married (or into a serious relationship) thinking it will end. This is not a fun experience. It is stressful, but it will end. How do you want it to end? What do you want your life to look like when you get to the otehr side of this and what do you want that journey to look like?
Setting goals and keeping them at the forefront of this process will help get your through the stress and keep you focused.
