I chose to affiliate with Massachusetts Mutual Life Insurance and Investment company for multiple reason, primarilly of which is the variety of independent professionals who I work with that specialize in areas that are not strengths of mine.

I challenge families and individuals to maximize their financial potential and specialize in holding my clients accountable to their financial objectives. My contract and affiliation with MassMutual is non-captive, meaning if there is a better product for my clients that is external to MassMutual's library, I am not tied to their systems.

I have access to thousands of money management portfolios, hundreds of life Insurnace, Annuity, Long Term Care, Disability carries and surround myself with dozens of business professionals and attorneys who will review my clients' situations at the drop of a hat.

My experienece in the industry began as a retirement income planning specialist at Fidelity Investments and Financial Consultant for 3 years and I have been with MassMutual for 2 years.

    Two Models:

    Fee-Based: Consultation is free. When I am hired the fee will be between $600-$18,000 annually Dependent on Complexity of the plan; the plan includes working with their attorney, coordinating with the tax advisor and other hired financial professionals to ensure wholistic planning is implemented and serviced. Client can choose to utilize my access to tools and services to implement recommendations or another professional.

    Solution-Based: Consultation is free. I will provide recommendations and be paid a commission by the insurance or investment companies based on their fee structure.

    I worked for Comcast and was extremely interested in the benefits provided. As I researched, I discovered that I was offering guidance and advice for my coworkers all day at work. A coworker was hired to work for Fidelity in their underwriting department for new accounts and he was able to introduce me to a hiring manager for the retirement and 401(k) department. I began by servicing the benefits provided to Comcast and their employees and branched into executives and and then other companies and retail investors as well.

    I do a significant amount of work with business owners and self employed individuals. I have found that has opened opportunities for me to service their employees and work with young families and couples moving into retirement.

    Because of my fee-based model, my services appeal to individuals looking for good advice, free of a commission excited sales associate, selling managed investment assets or high commission insurances.

    I serviced a large pest control company in building a complex succession plan including the owner of a competetive pest control company and an involved business valuation because of a conflicting evaluation by each owner.

    I was able to complete the valuation, facilitate the update in the operating agreement and communication between the legal councils, organize the financial plan to fund the purchase upon succession, and implement the life insurance policies for all key employees.

    Find someone who will still be working when you need to be fulfilling your financial objectives or receiving your income stream, not someone ready to retire. Work with an individual who you find engaging and will challenge you to maximize your financial potential, and hold you accountable to your committments.

    Brokers are always better and work with someone who will act as a non-captive fiduciary; this is a professional who has access to multiple carriers and is not beholden to one individual company. This is one of the primary reasons I left Fidelity Investments. You cannot be a fiduciary AND act on a captive contract with one company.
