CrossPointe Counseling
About
Helping people deal with the challenges of life gives my own life more meaning. As a caregiver to a disabled spouse, I have experienced first hand the frustrations and struggles related to issue with chronic illness. Through training, independent study, and trial and error practice I have developed a program for helping both the patient and those caring for them.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Due to Covid threat I am currently conducting online sessions through Teleheath (clients need a smartphone or a device with camera, microphone and at least 10Mbps internet access.) Once a session is scheduled, clients receive forms (Consent, HIPAA, Demographic, and history) to complete. First session is intake with getting to know each other and determining direction of sessions.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
BA degree in Sociology, MA degree in professional counseling.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
Standard fees are $85.00 to $125.00 per session (depending on length of session)
How did you get started in this business?
I've been counseling for over 30 years as a Pastoral counselor and now as a Licensed Professional Counselor. I am especially drawn to clients (patients and caregivers) who suffer with chronic illness or chronic pain. I am a caregiver for a wife who has been disabled for 20 years and have a special affinity with people who are facing similar challenges.
What types of customers have you worked with?
I work with individuals, couples, families and groups who are dealing with chronic conditions such as anxiety, depression, chronic illness, chronic pain, PTSD, Bipolar disorder, relationship issues, stress management, and conflict management.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
A relationship of trust is key to successful therapy. Finding a counselor with whom you can be open and honest and whom you can trust to treat you as an individual and not as a diagnosis can make the difference between effective or ineffective therapy.
