Our first step is to understand your invention and your business goals to monetarize your novel idea.  After we understand your novel ideas and goals, we will determine the best pathway for you.  We will provide you our recommendations and provide you with a flat fee quote.  You may now become our client provided no conflict of interest is present as per patent law, i.e., none of our previous clients' inventions are close enough to be prior art for your application.  You will need to sign a standard and mutually agreed upon contract detailing both ours and your responsibilities and expectations and provide us with a retainer.

We understand the steps needed to prosecute a patent successfully.  We start with a patentability and novelty prior art search.  Based on the results obtained from this report, we draft patent applications and file them with the USPTO and WIPO, if required, for procuring U.S. and International patents.  Based on our clients' business goals and invention search report, we may prepare and file either a provisional, a non-provisional, a design, or a combination of them. We assist our clients with other priority search reports, patent prosecution, and intellectual property strategies.

Patent Prosecution:  Prosecution is the process of back and forth arguments between the Examiner,  referred to as the Office action, and the patent practitioner, referred to as the response.  These arguments require both a knowledge of patent law and technology. We will assist you during this process and offer a flat fee or per-time prices, whichever you prefer.

Her journey into the intellectual property field started when she co-founded Wearable Networks, LLC.  This company's goal was to develop products with oral sensors and networking these sensors with various devices.   These products may diagnose a variety of physiological vital signs and diseases. In addition, sensor integration with other devices may assist in better healthcare outcomes for sports players, athletes, and others alike.  However, although crucial for a small startup company, patents ate a significant chunk of their budget.  Thus, she decided to learn about patent law to save money for product development.  She found techno-legal writing enjoyable and developed a passion for patent writing, prosecution, and developing patent strategies.  She is passionate about learning new innovative ideas related to a variety of technologies.  As a co-founder of a startup, and more specifically as a scientist, the skills she acquired and learned are advantageous for patent drafting, prosecution, strategizing, and assisting her clients in their patent process and development journey.  She wrote and prosecuted hundreds of patent applications.  She also has authored several scientific and review articles and book chapters.  Therefore, she speaks both legalese and technical languages, which is a must for effective patent drafting and comprehensive communication with inventors and examiners.
