I have been fortunate to practice law in Texas since November 6th, 1987. This has given me a wealth of experience in handling all types of Family law, divorce, custody, Modifications, Enforcement and adoption matters, as well as all serious criminal cases. I am licensed to practice law in Texas, as well as the in the Federal Court, the 5th Circuit Court Of Appeals in Lousiana, and the United States Supreme Court in Washington D.C. I have tried over 204 cases all over Texas in front of a jury to a verdict. It it likely that whatever your case is about, I have already taken that type of case to trial in front of a jury to a verdict. There is simply no substitution for Experience.

Uncontest Waiver Divorce, No children; $300 plus Filing Fee of $306) and $250.00 prove up fee due at the last court setting. If you have children then the retainer fee is increased to $600 plus filing fee because of the large amount of paperwork, revisions, etc.
If the case s a CONTESTED DIVORCE: The retainer fee is $1,500 to start. This covers the filing and service of citation fee on the spouse, drafting of the Petition, Temporary Order, Notice Of Hearing, Final Decree Of Divorce, Income Withholding Order, Mediation. Medical Support, Then another $250.00 at the prove up. Case could cost a lot more if either side wants to set it for trial or request Discovery, Production, Enforcement after Temporary Orders

Make sure that the person has gone to trial on the same type of case that you are hiring them for because the case may wind up in trial or in a Temporary Order hearing. That is no time to learn what to do.
Experience with the subject matter and the projected cost based on their experience.
