Intentional Life Therapy & Wellness
About
My wife and I are both licensed marriage and family therapists. We met in graduate school. We have been married for over 20 years and have 4 children (a couple of them are adults now). We both meet with couples, individuals and families. I also meet with adolescents as I use to be Director of Counseling and Therapeutic programming at a juvenile justice center.
I completed my Ph.D. in 2007 and we have had our current clinic in Cedar Park since 2019. I have experience working with individuals (depression, anxiety, ptsd and more). I have experience with premarital and marital counseling. I have experience working with adolescents and children. I have also worked at a drug and alcohol treatment facility.
I love being a therapist as I am constantly challenged to do and become more in response to the needs of my clients. I also sincerely love learning about how others learn to handle their personal challenges and being part of their growth and progress. I can be serious, but like to have fun in life and in therapy.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to find out about a client's strengths and where they feel like their lacking and then help them develop a plan for filling the gaps. To me, therapy is about helping others become who they really want to be. This usually involves laughing, sometimes involves crying, but is always rewarding to do with another human.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Ph.D. in Marriage and Family Therapy and a Master's Degree in Human Development and Family Studies.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
I do not accept insurance and sessions are $150 each.
How did you get started in this business?
At 16 years of age I decided I wanted to be a family therapist. And, 12 years of college later...here I am. My driving force has always been a passion for self improvement through reading and learning from experience and others. Moreover, I love to share in the struggles and triumphs of others.
What types of customers have you worked with?
Couples, individuals (depression, anxiety, ptsd, addictions and more) and families.
