Positive Actions International counseling services focuses on the full spectrum of your life including emotional, spiritual, professional and relationship with self and others. Our counseling services are focused on identifying and discovering the obstacles and challenges in your life and developing a step-by-step action plan that can help you to achieve and maintain the life you envision. We provide counseling services to individuals, couples and families.

Esther Scott is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). She is a member of the Psychological National Honor Society and American Counseling Association. She works with clients to help them create a step-by-step plan that will enable them identify and remove roadblocks from their path to obtaining their goal. Esther has received the American Red Cross 2010 "Good Neighbor Award" and the American Red Cross 2011 "Excellence in Customer Service Recognition"

I hold a deep passion for helping individuals find the best in themselves and others. My main coaching principle is, "We can do all things;" and as a Counselor, I work with clients to help them discover their goals and determine the specific POSITIVE ACTIONS they need to take in order to achieve a more meaningful, well-balanced life.

$ 145 initial intake and assessment.

$ 125 per session, all following sessions.

An important factor in choosing a counselor, once credentials and competence are established, is your level of personal comfort. There are over 125 theories of counseling; your comfort level with a particular counselor will indicate a right match.  Some favorites are: Solution-Focused and Cognitive Behavioral Counselors.  

When to see a Counselor?

 At some time in our lives, each of us may need some help dealing with our problems. Problems with a marriage or relationship, a family situation or dealing with losing a job, the death of a loved one, depression, stress,  burnout, substance abuse, or the ups and downs of life are issues that can be significantly impacting.  The help from a mental health professional can make a big difference in working through these problems. 

Will counseling help? 

Research increasingly supports the idea that emotional and physical health are closely linked and that seeing a counselor can improve a person's overall health.

How to tell if counseling is working?

You should establish clear goals with your counselor. Certain goals require more time to reach than others, but you and your counselor should determine at what point you may expect to see progress. A good sign you are making progress is when you begin to feel a sense of relief, and a sense of hope.
