About this pro

We provide top family law legal services at affordable prices. I take pride in each and everyone of my cases. I treat my clients as partners in his/her case so that they we can both help each other reach the best results.

We also will try to meet or beat fees charged by other lawyers. So before you hire anyone talk to us. I handle cases all over the State of Texas. I am known by name by the Family Court Judges and handled cases throughout Dallas, Harris and surrounding counties, Collin, Tarrant, Ellis, Rockwall, Denton and Johnson County. I have been practicing family law for over 20 years. It is the only area of law that I practice. I have handled thousands of hearings in the family courts including but not limited to divorces, modifications, enforcement, contempt, discovery motions, temporary orders, spousal support, child support, alimony and adoptions. Furthermore, I have tried jury cases to verdict and have successfully won custody for Mothers and Fathers and had residency restrictions lifted. I also help people with wills, power of attorneys, DNR and other life and estate planning documents. I prepare for my cases under the presumption that my opposing counsel knows everything about a particular family law issue. As a result of my zealous preparation, I am confident that I will know more than opposing counsel and I can use that advantage to get great results for my clients. I go above and beyond for my clients. I treat each and everyone of my clients with respect and dignity. I understand that family cases can be very emotional and I do what I can not only to be successful in Court but to make sure my client and/ or their children are not emotionally scarred by the divorce process.

When I am able to help a spouse or child get out of an abusive relationship it makes the hard work worthwhile.

Mr.Rubin is sharp, fierce and ethical. He was not afraid of my ex spouse’s attorney and others that I called were. He was always responsive the entire year it took to resolve my matter (due to COVID delays). I felt safe, protected, listened to, and well represented with Michael. I’d hire him again with zero hesitation.

Michael Rubin is professional and gets to the point. He's no nonsense which is what you want if you're dealing with a dishonest opposition with a lack of integrity. I don't worry about a thing with Mr Rubin on my case because I know he is working hard for me. Best divorce attorney in the DFW area and you can take that from someone who looked high and low for the right attorney. I'm known worldwide and I know what it takes for someone to stand out. Michael Rubin and his fantastic paralegal are a great team and they work hard. You are in good hands with Michael Rubin.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

I charge a flat fee for all agreed matters. The flat fee covers all court costs and attorney fees. Contested matters normally require a retainer paid up front and is billed hourly.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

Normally- I like to talk to clients on the phone to get an idea of what is going on in their lives and why they are needing a family law attorney. Than I like to set up an in person meeting with the client so they can meet me in person and decide if they wish to retain me.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I take minimum of 15 hours of continuing legal education every year.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

I take family law very personally because I am adoptive father of two children. When I married my wife she had two children from a previous relationship. Unfortunately, their Father was a non factor in their lives. When my wife and I had our first child Landon, it was important to me that Hallie and Alex be my children and not just step-children. This made our family complete. Children are a blessing and should be treated as such.

What types of customers have you worked with?

My practice is 100% focused on family law. I am known by family law judges throughout north texas and surrounding counties.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

I have handled contested and uncontested divorces and custody matters. I recently was able to get the court to award my client the marital home, 75% of the husband's retirement and alimony for 5 years. Before she hired me her husband said she would get nothing.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

It's important to realize that all family attorneys are not alike as in any profession. I pride myself in providing top notch legal work at competitive prices. I have been recognized by family courts for my knowledge of the law and my tenacity in the courtroom.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

Is their family matter agreed or contested? They also need to understand that family law matters can be very complicated and they are going to need a lawyer with a successful track record and years of experience.
