What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I have three rules when working with a new client: Listen to the client, Explain things to the client, and Support the client.
Listening is an all too important skill that way too many lawyers fall short. Clients are people not "matters," and a one size fits all solution is inappropriate between Attorney and Client.
