What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I first review the clients goals. Hopefully , I am a match to offer my services to them. I am always grateful for a call from a client. During these call, I will listen to your concerns . If I miss your call , you may leave a confidential voicemail. I wiil return your call within 24 hours. Thank you for assessing my qualifications to assist you .
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have worked as a Social Worker in many capacities. I have both an undergraduate in Sociology and Psychology with a minor in criminal justice. My graduate degree is in Social Work , with an emphasis on children and youth . I am a licensed Social Worker I am a certified School School Social worker , as well as a certified gambling therapist. My emphasis has been in adoption , grief and loss and Suicide prevention. I also have a deep knowledge of addiction. My career is not just that ; helping others has always been my calling in life.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
My price is usually 50 dollars per session , regardless of the length of the session I am happy to do therapy by phone. Or meet any client where we both are comfortable. Confidentiality is paramount , as I adhere to the Social Work code of ethics. I love my work. It is my calling to help others.
How did you get started in this business?
It came naturally to me . I always knew I wanted to be a Social Worker. It is more of a calling for me than just a job . I was meant to help people. It is who I am .
What types of customers have you worked with?
My focus has been on depression, anxiety and the fallout from untreated issues
I have worked with various forms of addiction .Grief , loss , suicidal ideation is also a focus. Anger management, any type of abuse , I have treated clients with these issues Trauma work is very important to me . I also have treated post- partum depression , infertility and all areas relating to adoption. I focus on solid answers to problem solving. I also realize reaching out for help is a huge but sometimes very difficult first step .
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I keep in very close touch with an adoptee. I am close to his adoptive parents and his birth parents. I see this young man regularly. He is an inspiration to me .
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Ask a lot of questions. There are many mediocre therapist . Make sure you feel a true connection. If not , the therapy will be ineffective.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
The customer should ask for the therapist experience in detail. This includes knowledge of the code of ethics in Social Work . Also inquire about the therapist flexibility in scheduling . Price per session should be discussed, as well as the total length of therapy the client desires or is required . I will discuss any and all issues.
