About

Hello, my name is Darlene Lorraine Gibson. I’ve been in the business of helping people build strong family relationships, resilience, spiritual development, growth, empowerment, and embracing life’s challenges and transitions for the pass six years. It’s is my goal, pleasure, and privilege to provide guidance, support, empowerment, and encouragement to individuals and families coming out of, or in the midst of traumatic experiences. I love doing this because in my times of suffering, others were there for me and the experience has also given me a greater degree of compassion and understanding for others going through suffering and difficulties. Furthermore, I have a bachelor’s in human services, a master’s in Christian ministry, and a post graduate certificate in military resilience with a focus on community care and counseling. My methodology is to embrace others from a trauma-informed, holistic approach, and cultural competent perspective. These are some of the things that make’s Becoming Whole in Your Soul, LLC stand out.

    Frequently asked questions

The first goal is to get to know you, your desires and vision, and then figure out a plan of action. Then we will focus on new coping skills and develop tools to inspire better methods of communicating. This would consist of a collaboration and comprehensive fitness plan (emotional, mental, cognitive, spiritual, and physical).

I have a Bachelor's of Science in Human Services , a Master of Art's in Christian Ministry, training in trauma, family resilience and strengthening, culture competence, advanced leadership/crisis, mental health/psychology, social problems, and Biblical counseling/theology.

My price is $40 per person per session and $60 per couple/family per session. I do not take any insurance plans.

I got started in professional counseling from getting much professional counseling myself from difficult and painful experiences. This led me to seek further education and training as well. Encouraging and uplifting others has been a passion of mine since I can remember. So, I decided to turn my most pleasurable assets into a career as a part of life's journey.

I have worked with individuals struggling with anger management, marriage, family, grief, anxiety, stress, aging ailments, and mental/emotional health issues.

I am excited to be accepted into another graduate program through Regent University beginning January, 2022 to further develop my education and skills in helping others.

My best advice for someone looking to hire a counselor would be to make sure that you find someone who is kind, trustworthy, and compatible/knowlegeable to your chanllenges. Also, carefully seek out such a person and know that this will help your growth/healing process tremendously.
