I have been doing this for more than 25 years and have handled every form of litigation transaction in family law problem on the planet.
I decided a long time ago not to be the kind of lawyer who bills and bills to extract the most money possible from each client.
Instead I take the time to get to know every client and to really understand the unique legal, financial and personal dimensions of their business, creative, family or other problems.
I genuinely enjoy helping people. Anytime a lawyer can, at a reasonable price, help someone through a difficult business or personal or creative situation in a way that makes it easier and makes them more (or costs them less), it’s a good thing
I spent a lot of time working with creative and start up’s, and I love helping to get new projects and businesses off the ground - from great idea to launch or opening night.

I try this:
1. Initial Phone consultation to identify issue and goals
2. Client gathers all relevant info: the best way to save money and time with lawyers is for the client to first gather all the facts, names and documents along with a brief summary of the issues and request.
When that happens, it saves a lot of time going back-and-forth looking for documents and clarifying issues.
3. I then draft whatever document is appropriate, and share with the client
4. Client gets back to me with any questions or edits, and hopefully with that one draft and edit we’re done
I graduated from the university of Virginia first, in 1984. I then graduated from Cornell Law school in 1990
