Having worked in numerous different industries before my legal career, I am very comfortable speaking and empathizing with clients with very different backgrounds and interests. At the same time, I have a deep understanding of all aspects of intellectual property law, domestically and internationally, and can often think of creative, cost-efficient solutions to legal issues.
I am passionate about intellectual property in all forms and the creations it protects.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I usually meet with the potential client or speak with him/her by telephone at bo charge to understand his/her needs priorities. If we agree that we should work together, I initiate a check for potential conflicts of interest and provide the potential client with an Engagement Letter outlining the attorney-client relationship. When I receive a signed copy of the letter back, representation commences and I begin whatever work is required.

How did you get started in this business?
I worked in several different industries - the arts, the sciences, technology - all of which lead me to law school and to focus on what they have in common - creativity.
What types of customers have you worked with?
Lawyers, paralegals, businesspeople, individual entrpreneurs, investors, etc.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Make sure you are not comparing apples to oranges and that you have been made aware of the possible costs and risks subsequent to the initial work you are requesting.
