IPAttitude emphasizes integration of patent protection into a business plan in an effort to guide clients in building an IP portfolio that will serve their needs as their business develops. In some cases, this has resulted in advising clients to purchase or license patents held by others.

Licensed as a Patent Agent in the United States and as a Patent Attorney in Israel. Experience prosecuting in other jurisdictions including the EPO, Japan, China, India, Australia and Canada.

Involved in commercial biotechnology including research toward development of a veterinary vaccine at Bio-Taglit Ltd. and cooperation with Scopus Genetics Ltd. in attempts to develop an improved method for generating transgenic animals, using a chick embryo model.

Postdoctoral experience at the Department of Cell Biology at Baylor College of Medicine (Houston TX) targeting heterologous proteins to the mammary gland for expression in milk of transgenic mice and swine. Also conceived, and helped execute, an online database of mammary transgenes during this time.

As a result of this academic and industrial experience, Dr. Yarus is conversant with biochemistry and molecular biology techniques, developments in laboratory equipment including imaging technology and developments in bioinformatics.

Work as a patent attorney since 1999 added technical expertise in biotechnology, wood hydrolysis, agricultural systems, molecular biology, medical devices, bone cement, RF applications and communications systems.
