You have helped Camila and I so much, and I know we are both extremely thankful for your diligence. Anna Norman Dr. Katz was very kind and accommodating. He kept lines of communication open for our 21 year old. He was willing to make appointments and attend his sessions independently.

Dr. Katz, is a very insightful, and unlike other therapist i saw in the past, he really cares about you as a patient. I learn about me during his therapy sessions. His fee is also reasonable . I highly recommend Dr. Katz to anyone in need of therapy. On Oct 1, 2015, 12:22:26 AM, Michael Shick wrote:
Dr. Ronald Katz is the best thing that ever happened to me. His patient, loving attitude for all my successes and failures gave me a firm base to pursue my dreams. His perceptive and suggestive comments paved the road for my recovery from alcoholism caused by family problems. I am now healthier and more productive than I've every been, and continue to remember the many wise things Dr. Katz had shared with me. I highly recommend Dr. Ronald Katz for his incredible understanding of how to approach me, who I consider to be a rather difficult person to win over. I guess the crux of it is that Dr. Katz knows when you're ready to hear the next truth on your journey--whatever that may be. I've found other providers to be less skilled at doing this. The other part of it is that Dr. Katz went through Psychoanalysis, which is the highest level of psychological understanding we have. So, he definitely knows enough to always keep you waiting and guessing for when the next revelation will come, only when you are ready for it, of course :PSI love Dr. Ronald Katz and you should too. Thanks I have known Dr. Ronald Calderwood for almost 20 years. His skills are impeccable as a psychoanalyst, and as a supervisor. life for me has changed in a more positive, healthy mental state of reflection and self understanding. Whether online or in person Dr. Calderwood’s knowledge base and skills are extraordinary.

FAQs

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

Couples Therapy begins with an initial consultation with the to meet them, learn about their goals and get a picture of how their relationship has developed. I also experience their current state of relatedness first hand. The second part of this assessment process is to meet with each member of the couple for an individual session to get to know them, their personal history and their points of view about the relationship in a deeper way. Sometimes having the couple complete some questionnaires about the relationship is incorporated into this beginning assessment as well.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

After receiving my Doctorate Ph.D in Clinical Psychology, I completed my training in Modern Psychoanalysis where I was trained in Modern Psychoanaltic Couples Therapy by Dr Hyman Spotnitz founder of Modern Psychoanalysis. Later in my professional career I was trained by John and Julie Gottman in Gottman Couples Therapy and I was trained in Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy by Dr Sue Johnson (founder and creator) as well as others.

Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.

i utilize a sliding scale fee With a minimum base fee of $100 for the session. I am ‘out of network’ with many insurance companies but once the standard deductible is used up I accept insurance reimbursement
