I'm Ruth Altamura-Roll, MA, NCC, LPC, a Licensed Professional Counselor with over 40 years of experience.

I have been in private practice for 20 years. My exerpience began in the drug and alcohol field where I worked in long-term treatment providing the opportunity to work with issues of depression, anxiety, truama, eating disorders, obsessive disorders, relationship reunification and spiritual development.

Confidentiality is so important for you to feel safe to share your experiences and feelings. We will discuss five areas of your life which includes: Emotional , Cognitive, Relational, Physical and Spiritual.

The ultimate goal is to provide healing of inner wounds through the use of coping skills, insights, and counseling therapies, such as cognitive therapies.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

Relationship is very important to developing a good, safe working relationship and being comfortable with me is very important. Our first session give us the opportunity get to know eachother while we compete an intake questionaire together. This questionaire provides not only a means to open up discussion, but allows us to begin to identify some of the reasons you maybe seeking counseling.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

Masters in Counseling Liscensed Professional Counselor Nationally Certified Counselor BA in History/Religion

Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.

I am out of network. My fee is $165.00 for a full 60 minutes.

How did you get started in this business?

I began as a volunteer at a youth shelter where they hired me. I then worked at an all woman's long term addiction treatment facility. Followed by a half-way house for woman as the program director and executive director before I opened my private practice in 2000. This has provided 40 years of experience.

What types of customers have you worked with?

I work with adults and adolescents who struggle with depression, anxiety, PTSD, OCD, childhood trauma, addictions, adult children of addiction and issues of codependency.

Describe a recent event you are fond of.

I love to travel. My husband and I visited the Provence area of France for a week.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?

Ask questions of their experience, practice. Ask if the therapist has had therapy themselves.

What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
