Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Telephone conversation followed by an in person interview.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
My education is in the nature of J.D. degree from Villanova School of Law.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
Yes, I have standard pricing. There is a flat fee for bankruptcy cases, depending on the chapter. My hourly fee is $250.00 an hour,
What types of customers have you worked with?
My typical bankruptcy client is someone who's property is in foreclosure and requires my representation in order to save their home.
Criminal defense cases range from Municipal Court shoplifting and possession of CDS to Superior Court matters of all types including Theft by Deception, B&E and Assault.
Family Court matters include FV, FD & FN cases.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
First, established a working relationship.
Next, I tell my clients that our is a partnership where we both must contribute time and energy in order to reach a common goal.
Finally, you must trust your lawyer to the same extent that you would trust your surgeon. If a client refuses my advice, I will suggest getting a second opinion.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
1. Do you realy need a lawyer? Or is yours a matter best taken care of outside of the court system?
2. Lawyer fees are not cheap. Can you afford the price of the entire case, not just the initial retainer fee?
3. Did you find a lawyer who is experienced in the particular situation you are facing? You would not hire a cardiologist to perform brain surgery. By the same token, a personal injury litigator won't take on a patent or admiralty case. Hiring a lawyer with the training and experience in the type of case you have is your best hope for success.
