Our pricing system is not based upon the same charging process used by attorneys. Attorneys and law firms bill customers based upon a retainer and hourly rate system. Even the ones that are adopting our flat rate model continue to overcharge.
This service is not for everyone. The legal process is by its nature designed to intimidate, instill fear. It is one of our last defenses to keep order in our society. But the processes can be straight forward and less intimidating with support from dedicated and experienced paralegals behind you.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
The divorce and bankruptcy process are made simple through our automated software. This process allows the new customer to select what they need, enter a few pieces of information, make their payment, and receive their documents all from thier phone or computer. The plus side of our service is that one of our certified and experienced paralegals are assigned to assist the client along the way until a decision is made in their case.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Our paralegals are certified and all have years of experience in the family law and bankruptcy law areas, in addition to other areas of the law. Though our paralegals do not offer legal advice, legal opinions or represent our clients in court. They help ensure that the client has what they need to be successful, and are there to assist when help is needed.

Our service structure saves our clients from expensive retainer agreements and hourly attorney fees. Our pricing is posted on our service page and is very transparent. We do not have hidden fees. You pay only for what you need. Nothing more.
How did you get started in this business?
Ufyle was started after the founder had discovered that the costs for a divorce, even one with children, are grossly over-inflated and that the process could be made simpler and more affordable. And when he went to file for bankruptcy to help resolve the marital debts left to be paid by one of the clients he realized this too was a costly process that prevents many people from getting the fresh start they deserved.

Describe a recent event you are fond of.
One of our bankruptcy clients called just to say thank you for helping them elimiate their debt and lifting the weight and strees. Most people want to pay their debts, but life situations and circumstance can bit.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Compare services, ask what is the total costs. All bankruptcy cases are about the numbers, and these numbers are crunched by the software we use to determine whether a person's debts can be discharged. Customers must be area of the process. Do a little research and it can save them plenty of money.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
What are their needs? What is their budget? How long with this take? What are the steps from beginning to end? How can they save money in the process? What is the total costs?
