Jim joined McCausland Barrett & Bartalos in June 2013 after practicing in Jefferson City, Missouri and Central Illinois. He has been practicing primarily in the area of insurance defense litigation since 2004. He has represented insureds for more than 10 insurance companies in a wide range of cases including personal injury automobile accidents, trucking accidents, premises cases, subrogation matters, wrongful death suits, construction accidents, construction defects, inverse condemnation, and liability cases against municipalities. He has been both lead or co-counsel on numerous jury trials.

Jim graduated from the University of Iowa College of Law in 2004. Prior to law school, Jim graduated with a dual economics and business administration degree from St. Ambrose University, Davenport, Iowa, where he was a four year student athlete in baseball and basketball and an Academic All-American in both sports. He is licensed in state and federal Courts in Missouri and Illinois.
