I have been practicing law for over 25 years. I have focused my practice on Family law and Personal Injury. My family law practice involves representing people concerning contested and non-contested divorce, paternity matters, child custody, and support matters, motions to modify, adult abuse orders, and adoptions. Having gone through a highly contested divorce myself, I understand the pain and difficulties my clients are experiencing and do everything I can to accomplish their goals. My personal injury practice involves representing people injured in accidents and at work. I have suffered personal injuries in a car accident and can relate to the pain, frustration, and aggravation of dealing with insurance companies. You need someone patient, persistent, and tenacious to represent you against insurance companies. Without proper representation, they will take advantage of you.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I typically speak to potential clients on the phone about their matters first. I think it is important to determine what their issues and expectations are. Then we schedule an appointment and move forward from there. I communicate with my clients via cell phone, text, email, and office visits.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I graduated with a degree in psychology from the University of Michigan. Having a degree in psychology, gives me the tools to work through the most complicated and emotional family law matters.
After graduating from Michigan, I attended law school at St. Louis University School of Law.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
Every case is different. My hourly rate is $200.00 per hour outside of Court and $250.00 per hour while in Court. I generally request that clients post retainers. The amount of the retainer varies on a case by case basis
What types of customers have you worked with?
I have worked with men and women going through a divorce, child custody/child support, and Motions to Modify and Motion for Contempt.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Ask a lot of questions. It is critical that you understand the difficulties that arise during this very emotional stage in your life.
