Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We understand this call may be a difficult but incredibly important one. Our professional and caring Referral Coordinator assists our new callers. When a new client calls we gather enough information to determine which of our therapists would be a good choice. The new client typically hears from the recommended therapist that same day and has an appointment scheduled within the week.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
All of our therapists have advanced degrees in psychology, counseling , social work and marriage and family therapy. Each is licensed by the State if Michigqn. In addition, many of our therapists have additional training, certifications and endorsements in particular areas.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
We accept most major insurances including Blue Cross, Blue Care Network, Medicare Medicaid, Aetna, Cofinity, and more. We have standard cash fees, but each therapist can offer their own fee range. We also have graduate interns who can offer very low fees - no one is turned away due to a lack of funds.
How did you get started in this business?
our Clinical Director and co-owner, Franklin Sollars, has been a psychotherapist and psychologist for more than 40 years. He began in community mental health and has had a practice since 1980.
What types of customers have you worked with?
We work with all types of clients and all presenting concerns.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
While a therapist’s background, credentials and experience are important, the “fit” is key. Regardless of the theoretical approach, the best predictor of a successful outcome is the relationship between the client and therapist.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
The practical questions include those related to finance, location and schedule. The more specific questions may be related to the client’s particular concerns, symptoms or needs.
