For many small businesses, I can provide clients with one-stop shopping. I have providen expertise in: (1) the procurement of intellectual property assets such as patents and trademarks; (2) the structuring and negotiation of business transactions; (3) business formation (including shareholder agreements and operating agrements); and (4) disputes/litigation.
I enjoy providing clients with creative, practical, and cost-effective legal services. Whenever possible, I endeaver to educate clients so that they can not only succeed in the present context, but also so that they can better plan for the future.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I provide an initial free 30 minute consultation in which we will discuss options for proceeding.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a wide range of technology areas that I haved worked in as a patent lawyer. However, I prepare patent applications and contracts in a manner that is consistent with object-oriented software design.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
My billing rate for 2020 is $350/hour. In 2021, it will ne $360/hour.
However, for many projects, I can perform work on a fixed fee basis after discussing the project with the client.
How did you get started in this business?
At some point I faced a choice--embrace life and a large firm and focus almost exclusively on large corporate clients, or go on my own so that I could support entrepreneurs at a cost they could afford.
What types of customers have you worked with?
I work with clients of all types --- garage inventors, startups, mature mid-sized companies, and Fortune 500 companies.
