Elizabeth Johnston, LICSW

I have been working as a therapist since 1991, and in private practice for 12 years. I consider the therapeutic relationship very important, as is the fit between counselor and client. I work closely with my clients, and specialize in couples therapy, helping you and your partner develop a sense of safety and trust between the both of you, to allow for greater vulnerability and connection.

It is truly an honor and a privilege to do this work. I am so rewarded by the courage and love that I see happen before me. Its so hard to be vulnerable sometimes, and we tend to put up walls of self protection. This also leads to disconnection and lonliness. I am moved when a couple comes in, on the brink of separating or divorcing, who instead begin to work at sharing their deep longings and fears, wanting to hold and be help by their partner, finding connection and safety.
