Law Office Of David C. Farrell, Esq.
About
A Modern Approach to the Practice of Law:
I started this firm in 2019 to capitalize on state courts' imminent albeit gradual transition to virtual filing processes and remote litigation procedures such as online docket reports and digitalized case management software.
Federal Courts implemented electronic case management and filing systems (the "CM/ECF") decades ago.
Having witnessed first-hand the logistical benefits and time saving capabilities offered by the Federal Court's CM/ECF system, I understand better than most the profound changes coming to Massachusetts state courts.
In anticipation of the transition, I carefully designed my practice to capitalize on the upcoming digital revolution by creating a streamlined, cloud-based, paperless office promoting seamless operational efficiency while minimizing overhead costs.
Massachusetts Courts were not expected to make the digital transition ("D-day") for another five years. This obviously changed with the outbreak of COVID-19, which has forced the Courts to accelerate D-day for immediate implementation.
Because few anticipated D-day would arrive for another five to ten years, and because I designed my practice with D-Day specifically in mind, the reality is that we at Farrell Law are uniquely positioned to keep pace with even the largest Boston law firms.
Agility and adaptability is the name of the game today - two virtues which Boston's juggernaut firms (and the boards of dinosaurs running them) profoundly lack.
If, god forbid, you require immediate legal assistance during these difficult times, you can depend on Farrell Law to resolve your dispute swiftly, successfully, and safely.

Founder/Owner - Farrell Law LLC
David C. Farrell, Esq. is a Boston-built trial attorney representing both plaintiffs and defendants in complex civil litigation matters all over the state.
Since graduating from Stetson University College of Law ("Florida's First Law School"), Farrell has helped over one hundred (100) individuals and businesses to successfully resolve a broad spectrum of tort and contract disputes.
David is also admitted to the United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts, where he enjoyed early success - recovering $120,000.00 (related to a boat fire at the Sommerville Yacht Club) on behalf of Subrogee BoatU.S. (the marine division of Geico Insurance Company) .
In July of 2018, Farrell stared down tech giant Yelp, Inc. (see decision below); as its army of corporate lawyers threatened him with motions for sanctions claiming violations of (1) anti-SLAPP legislation and (2) free speech under the First Amendment. At a hearing before the Honorable Judge Saylor on Yelp's special motion to strike and dismiss the Complaint, the Court found in plaintiff's favor - setting important precedent in the process. In the future, Yelp will not be able to extort small businesses via similarly ill-contrived defenses.
David has a B.S. in molecular biology (minor: Japanese) from Bates College (2009) , where he played catcher for the Bates baseball team. After college, he spent a year working as a chemist in Boston before earning his Juris Doctorate from Stetson University College of Law (2014).
A veteran litigator in Boston and throughout the Commonwealth, Farrell has the experience and professional network necessary to resolve your legal issue(s).
