I have an active and collaborative approach as opposed to passive. A lot of therapists sit back and listen and allow you to come to your own conclusions. I value a client centered approach, but I believe if you could solve your problems on your own, you wouldn't have called me! So I do my best to offer value, give resources, and ensure that you are gaining more from therapy than a listening ear.
Watching individuals and couples grow and change is the most rewarding feeling and it is such an honor to be let in to the most vulnerable parts of others lives.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
First I like to schedule a 10-15 minute phone consult so both the client and I can get a sense of how we can relate and get along. I usually like to tell a bit about my background and my style as a therapist, and I ask them to tell me the cliff notes version of what has them interested in therapy. At the end of the phone call we can either move to the next step by scheduling an intake session, they can take some time to think about it and get back to me, or I can provide referrals to a more suitable therapist.
In the first session, we will set goals for therapy and begin working toward them right then and there!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a bachelors in Psychology, a Masters in Social Work with a concentration in mental health and addictions.
I am trained in EMDR which helps me work with clients in a new way and allows for processing "stuck" feelings, hurts, and past trauma.
I have 2 years experience working in addiction treatment prior to private practice.
I have training in high conflict couples specifically and experience working with infidelity.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
My fees are $150 for an initial session 60-90 minutes, $100 per hour session after that. I offer four clients at a time to see me at a reduced rate.
