About

For 21 years I’ve offered comfortable, non-clinical settings that offer convenient patient access and confidential privacy. I don’t work a program—but will build a personalized plan made for you. It will be transparent and easy to move from office to life.

I help people to develop transferable skills and new ways of managing life. Clients can expect me to stick with them for the long haul.

Managing chaos in highly stressful situations takes a tremendous capacity. Individuals in distress can find clarity and freedom to rediscover innate gifts and passions in a spirit of hope.

For teens, I combine 11 years teaching experience in their world with psychological perspectives and supports. I understand brainstorms, learning disabilities, gifted sensitivities—and their spin.

I do not accept insurance, but payment at time of service. Sliding scale available

Seeing people move through and past their crisis or transition with more strength, presence of mind, and confidence. Hearing people look forward to the future with a solid sense of who they are, their worth, and hope for their future.

My passion for marriage therapy and experience bring hope to the process. At the end of the tunnel of chaos, there is a better life.

Frequently asked questions

I have 3 degrees from Wheaton College and Graduate School:

MA Clinical Psychology

MA Theology

BA English Literature

Ongoing education in Anxiety, Stress Management, Social isolation, ADHD, Learning disabilities, Spectrum disorders, Interpersonal neurology and spirituality

I’ve been a counselor for 19 years. Before moving to therapy I taught high school for 11 years. My interests have been in helping people grow in their ability to cope with life through their gifts, skills and braadened capacity.

The rate is $75 per hour for an individual daytime appointment. $95 for evening appointments. Marital Therapy often begins with an introduction session, then 2 meetings a week for six weeks. Typically, clients begin with 6 weeks of weekly visits, then move to bimonthly.

I do not take insurance. If you have insurance, consider your deductible and limits of service. If you have good coverage, you may want to find someone who takes insurance.

Find a therapist with the approach you want. My approach to individuals is psychodynamic. I’ll build a therapeutic framework we can work with, utilizing what you bring in, our relationship and interventions to help you move toward your goals  I borrow from family systems for families and cognitive for marital therapy

A fit is also critical—Do you click with the therapist? Our first session is an introduction to see if there is a therapeutic fit. If you do not think it is a fit for any reason, there is no charge.

Has this professional had success in this area professionally and possibly personally?Otherwise, what is their transferable experience? How much experience have they had since graduation?
