The Siwek Law Office, Ltd.
About
My service stands out because I have 35 years of legal experience. This gives me a broad depth of knowledge, particularly in the area of family law. I also have extenstive experience in domestic violence cases, order of protection cases and criminal felony and misdeamnor cases. Though I now primarily handle heavily contested family law cases, throughout my career I was a general practioner so I have extensive experience in many other areas of law such as real estate law, DUI's, bankruptcy cases, wills, trusts and estates, guardianship and probate cases, eviction cases and many other areas of law. This extensive experience in many areas of law can be of great help when I am dealing with a case that involves several areas of law at the same time.
An attorney's basic role is that of a problem solver. The client has a complicated legal situation. It is my job to anaylze the facts and law that applies to the facts of the case involved in the case and come up with a strategy to solve those problems and help my client's through some of the most difficult times in their lives. I get a great deal of satisfaction from finding solutions to help them solve their legal problems so they can move on with their lives.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I discuss your case with you over the phone and/or a Zoom video conference. If retained by the client, I request the facts and documents I need to handle their case. Once I have all their necessary information, I prepare their documents and send them to them via email for their review, signature and return to me. I then file their documents with the court and litigate their case.

Doctorate of Law degree (JD) from Northern Illinois College of Law in 1987.
30 hours of continuing legal education every 1-1/2 years.
BS degree from Drake University in Business Management in 1974.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
